Vexing new crescent could not be sighted on August 17, 2012 anywhere on earth. According to scientific calculations, it will be 1 % visible at sunset on August 18, 2012 in Afghanistan and countries to the west of it but not in the countries to east of Afghanistan, and in the countries on east of Afghanistan 3 % will be visible at sunset on August 19, 2012. Thus, Eid-ul- Fitr falls on August 19, 2012 in Afghanistan and the counties on it’s east and on August 20, 2012 in Pakistan and the countries on the east of it.
Let us pray that sense prevails in power corridors of the Super Power and they stop killing innocent men, women and children in the world, specially, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Tribal Areas of Pakistan.
