Consumerism and the have-nots

Let’s try not to feed this endless cycle of consumerism and immortality in which this “modern and advanced” society forgets and ignores the other two thirds of our brothers and sisters who are looking for simple bread and butter.

World propaganda machinery describes Muslims as uncivilized people and even call them terrorists.
In fact Muslims are more civilized and disciplined than all the other societies of the world.
Here is a glimpse of Friday prayer congregation in Masjid al Haram (Grand Mosque) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia on a Friday in the month of Ramadan (Fasting month) which this year is from June 06 to July 05.

Three floors of Masjid al Haram and open area around Masjid al Haram are all jam-packed with about 2,000,000 people. They have come from all over the world. Their languages and cultures are different. They do not understand each other’s language but remember the teachings of Islam to make peace, be disciplined and helpful to others.
During their prayers five times a day in Masjid al Haram, they perform several Rukus (genuflections / bowings) and Sajdahs (prostrations) simultaneously with one voice “Allaho Akbar (God is Great) of Imam (Leader of Prayer)

During Ramadan, they eat and drink only after sunset and before sunrise for which they go out of the Masjid al Haram to hotels and restaurants around Masjid al Haram. They show best discipline even outside Masjid al Haram.
The administration of the city (Makkah) as well as staff of the hotels and restaurants also show best efficiency and discipline to control / provide food to such a big number of people within an hour.

Kashmir Day in London

Kashmir Day is celebrated by people of Jammu Kashmir every year on October 27 by holding protests. Here I describe only one. Thousands of people attended a Million March for Kashmir’s right of self-determination in London on Sunday, 27 October, 2014 to show solidarity with the people of Indian- occupied state in their decades-long struggle. A large number of people supporting the Kashmir cause came out on the streets of London to draw world attention to the Kashmiris’ troubles who have suffered a lot at the hands of Indian occupation forces in their quest for freedom.

Thousands of Kashmiri people have been killed in decades of Indian brutality. Many people had travelled from several other cities in Britain for the event marked by placards with anti-India slogans. The participants numbering thousands chanted slogans like ‘Kashmir bane ga Pakistan’, ‘We want Freedom’ and ‘Go India Go’.The March, which was also a protest against human rights violations by Indian troops in the Occupied Kashmir, started from London’s Trafalgar Square and concluded at 10 Downing Street – the official residence of British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Towards the end of the March, the protesters submitted a memorandum to the British government seeking an early resolution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of people of Kashmir. Though billed as a ‘Million March’, the strength of the rally was nowhere near that mark.

Member UK Parliament and British House of Commons Kashmir Committee President Andrew Griffiths also addressed the gathering. In a statement, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani declared London Million March a much needed step. He said it is to give world a message that terrorism has no direct or indirect link to the Kashmir Liberation Movement and the people of Kashmir were struggling for their genuine right. Some unconfirmed reports suggested that India had asked the United Kingdom not to allow this march in London but the British government refused the request.

Listen !

NOTE:- Christians may, please, replace “Muslim” by “Christian” and “Holy Qur’aan” by “Holy Bible”.

Today, I address all those who are literate and think that they are Muslims. I have not used the word “educated” purposely.
Now, please do not make a futile effort to throw it back on to me because when you read it, “I” will become “you” and “you” will become “I”.

Have you applied, in practical life, what you learned at school / college / university where you studied ?
Or
Was that only for collecting testimonials (degrees) so that you can make money?

Being Muslim, you must have read Holy Qur’aan, did you understand what it says and did you apply it on yourself in your practical life ?

If, truthfully, your answer is:
No to the first question, you are not educated because you didn’t learn anything at school / college / university only memorized it.

No to the second question means you are Muslim only by name.

So, please, try to become an educated Muslim before you expect others to be so.
