After Independence

Millions of destitute Muslims reached Pakistan from different areas of India. Even to provide them food and shelter was a colossal job. The share of Pakistan in assets was never given to Pakistan, thanks to close relation between British government and Hindu leaders.
Such a handicapped Pakistan had to arrange for resettlement of millions of refugees including thousands injured who reached Pakistan from India.
Pakistan didn’t have even enough currency notes thus people who were given job were given wheat flour, rice, lentils, etc plus some currency for first 3 months. In offices there was no furniture. People collected wood crates from near the sea port and used those as tables. They were given used paper sheets with one side blank which were used in correspondence and nobody felt bad, instead they had high spirit of hard work and cooperation.

Some pictures of Refugee Camps, mainly established in Lahore.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah listening to Refugees how they were driven out of their houses

There were no female doctors and nurses. Begum Ra’ana Liaquat Ali (wife of Prime Minister) went to streets and house with appeal to young women and girls to come out of their houses and help the needy women. Thousands of them came out. Those who had some knowledge of nursing started working forthwith and the rest were given short nursing courses after which they also joined the volunteer work. Thousands of men also came out to help the refugees who had become their Pakistani brother. This continued for over 2 years till every family was settled in house and had some earning facility.
Such was the spirit of people of Pakistan.
I don’t know where that has got lost. I get badly hurt when I see hear some from the new generation say, “Is Pakistan a country worth living?”
They forget that this country had made them what they are today and instead of being grateful to Allah Soob-hanohoo wa Ta’ala (God, all praise be for Him) for gifting such a nice country and for making them stand on their feet, they are showing pride.

Pakistan has been blessed by Allah Azzu wa jall (God Almighty) with everything. It houses some of the highest mountains in the world, Glaciers, snow-bound mountains, green mountains, green fields, rivers, man-made water channels, sea, sandy desert. A large variety of good quality fruits, vegetables and grains grow in Pakistan. Some of the fruits, vegetables and grains growing in Pakistan are the best quality in the world. A few examples are mango Chaunsa, mango Anwar Ratole, Basmati rice, wheat,

The Hate of Hindus towards Muslims

As result of long and hard struggle by Muslims of India through their political organ Muslim League and under able guidance of their leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah and blessing of Allah sub-hanohoo wa Ta’ala, an independent Muslim country, Pakistan, came in to being at 2357 hours on August 14, 1947.

Extent of Hate can be visualised by comparing (1) & (2) with (3)
(1) Once we were playing hide and seek and a boy (Muslim) rammed in to a passerby Hindu. He shouted, “کپڑے بھڑشٹ کری گیا ۔ کپڑے بھڑشٹ کری گیا (He made my clothes filthy. He made my clothes filthy)” and cursed Muslims.
(2) Another time after playing we went to a Hindu’s shop for drinks. Shopkeeper sold drink to a Hindu boy but declined to sell to Muslim boys. On Hindu boy’s request to sell drinks to us, he said, “مُسلے ہیں بوتلیں بھڑشت ہو جائیں گی (They are Muslims, bottles will become filthy).” Then one Muslim boy asked for water, the shop keeper standing two meters away poured water on to his hands from half a meter above his hands.
(3) Hindus worship cows. Some cows used to wander about in the town. Once a Hindu was passing by a cow and the cow started urinating and his clothes were drenched with urine of cow. He said, “پاپ چڑی گئے ۔ پاپ چڑی گئے (My sins are washed away. My sins are washed away).”

I studied in the best school of the province. Our class comprised 6 girls (one Muslim, 4 Hindu, one Christian) and 14 boys (6 Muslim, one Sikh, 7 Hindus). In March 1947, I was in Grade 3, when decision about independence came to be known, following which, hatred could be noted on faces of Hindu students. A Hindu classmate, Rambeer (4 years older than) me abused Mr Muhammad Ali Jinnah. On asking him not to do that, he took out a knife and tore my coat from behind and went away threatening me. Two days later, when teacher was not in the class room, a friend of Rambeer, Keerti Kumar abused Muslims. On asking him to stop, he jumped on me saying, “We will kill you Muslims and there will be no Pakistan.” A few days later, a quarrel took place outside the school between Hindu and Muslim students of class-10 and a boy was injured. Consequently, the school was closed. Thereafter skirmishes in the city between Muslims and Hindus were heard every fortnight or so.

Muslims of Jammu took out procession every. One day children of 8 years and above were included and I was also part of the procession. The slogans were “لے کے رہیں گے ۔ پاکستان [We will get Pakistan]”, “بن کے رہے گا ۔ پاکستان” [Pakistan will be founded], “What do you want ? Pakistan”, “پاکستان کا مطلب کیا ? لا إله إلا الله (Meaning of Pakistan? There’s no god except God] ”.
During July, 1947, Muslims of the state passed “Accession to Pakistan Resolution” and submitted it to the ruler of Jammu Kashmir.

Pakistan Day Felicitations

Felicitations to all people of Pakistan on 14th August, 2017,Flag-1the 70th anniversary of creation of Pakistan
Pakistan has completed 70 years of her life.
Speech of Founder of Pakistan, Mr Muhammad Ali Jinnah on August 15, 1947, the first day of independence / foundation of Pakistan

It is with feelings of greatest happiness and emotion that I send you my greetings. August 15 is the birthday of the independent and sovereign State of Pakistan. It marks the fulfillment of the destiny of the Muslim nation which made great sacrifices in the past few years to have its homeland.

At this supreme moment my thoughts are with those valiant fighters in our cause. Pakistan will remain grateful to them and cherish the memory of those who are no more.

The creation of the new State has placed a tremendous responsibility on the citizens of Pakistan. It gives them an opportunity to demonstrate to the world how can a nation, containing many elements, live in peace and amity and work for the betterment of all its citizens, irrespective of caste or creed.

Our object should be peace within and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial and friendly relations with our immediate neighbors and with the world at large. We have no aggressive designs against any one. We stand by the United Nations Charter and will gladly make our full contribution to the peace and prosperity of the world.

Muslims of India have shown to the world that they are a united nation, their cause is just and righteous which cannot be denied. Let us, on this day, humbly thank God for His bounty and pray that we might be able to prove that we are worthy of it.

This day marks the end of a poignant phase in our national history and it should also be the beginning of a new and a noble era. Let us impress the minorities by word, deed and thought that as long as they fulfill their duties and obligations as loyal citizens of Pakistan, they have nothing to fear.

To the freedom loving tribes on our borders and the States beyond our borders, we send our greetings and assure that Pakistan will respect their status and will extend to them its most friendly co-operation in preserving peace. We have no ambition beyond the desire to live honorably and let others live honorably.

Today is Jummat-ul-Wida, last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan, a day of rejoicing for all of us wherever we may be in this vast sub-continent and for the matter of that throughout the world. Let the Muslim congregations in their thousands, in all the mosques, bow in all humility before the Almighty and thank Him for His eternal kindness and generosity, seeking His guidance and assistance in the task of making Pakistan into a great State and themselves into its worthy citizens.

Finally, let me tell you, fellow citizens, Pakistan is a land of great potential resources. But to build it up into a country worthy of the Muslim nation, we shall require every ounce of energy that we possess and I am confident that it will come from all whole-heartedly.”
Pakistan Zindabad!
Happy Independence Day

Proud to be Pakistani

A lady named Syeda Saira Ijaz travelled from Dallas, Texas (USA) via Abu Dhabi and reached Islamabad on July 05, 2016. She had visited Pakistan after a long time. She narrates her experience.

I arrived in Islamabad with my three kids on the last day of Ramadaan. When we reached, we were informed that our luggage didn’t make it from Abu Dhabi but were reassured that it would arrive on the evening flight. On my way to Peshawar, I stopped again at the Islamabad airport to pick my luggage. It was very hot & humid & the clouds started pouring monsoon as soon as the Adan for Maghrib was called. The whole airport, staff, visitors got busy with breaking of fast. I noticed multiple places where people just sat & they were served Iftar. I had traveled that day so I wasn’t fasting so found myself a bench near a fan & sat there with my three kids & waited for my luggage.

During that time, so many people came & asked me if I needed something to eat. I thanked them and told them that it was okay, I wasn’t fasting. Still they kept on asking. Finally I saw a gentleman who propably had a shop in the airport coming towards me with a piece of paper. He put that paper down, in it were the pakoraas & dates. He said it didn’t look nice that they were eating while I sat there with my kids without food. My heart melted at that gesture. My older son told me ” mama they are so nice.” I told him this was very common in Pakistan. Few minutes later he came with a glass of juice & offered it to us.

The people at customs had told me that they would take me inside the airport once all the luggage has been checked & that meant another half an hour. I embraced myself for bribing my way to claim my luggage but instead they offered me & my kids their office. The officer said “madam please wait here & I’ll inform you once the luggage is ready.” So I sat in the air-conditioned office while he kept calling the front office every five minutes & by the way he too got my kids boxes of juice.

When the luggage arrived, he escorted me there while walking my two year old with him. Once I got my luggage, he left with a Khuda Hafiz.

NOTE from Blogger:
This is my dear country Pakistan where humans live and NOT the monsters portrayed by the Western Powers and there funded media. May Allah bless my dear country Pakistan with unity, progress and prosperity, and make it live for ever
